To see what occurs lets take a look through our virtual tour. When you go to the center to give blood, you'll be asked to read a number of leaflets and may often fill in a Donor Health Check (DHC) questionnaire and may have a confidential discussion with a nurse or with a doctor.

Step 1: Registration
The first step in becoming a hero is to sign-in at the registration desk! After you sign-in, one of CBC’s registrar’s will ask you for a photo ID and to verify your correct address.

Step 2: Screening
The next process includes a confidential screening process. The nurse will check your blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and test a few drops of blood from your finger to determine your hemoglobin (iron levels).
